Colgate-Palmolive Bought Back 20 Million Shares in 2002

Colgate-Palmolive Co. said it expects capital expenditures for 2003 to be 4% of its net sales, according to a Form 10-K filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing didn’t include information on the expected net sales for 2003. Colgate-Palmolive had capital expenditures of $343.7 million in 2002, which represented 3.7% of $9.3 billion in net sales for that year.Colgate-Palmolive also said it repurchased 20 million of its common shares in 2002 for about $1.1 billion....
